Market Update

General - Strike - Panoramic

Good afternoon

And more stimulus coming from left right and center: Bank of Japan increasing support for corporates, China doing more, apparently, Trump planning a massive infrstaructur program, and the FED is buing corporate bonds…the party that never ends in equities! And unfortunately, inequality will continue to rise….As we say in Germany: The dog is always shitting on the biggest pile!!

And a big surprise today: retail sales in the US were revised upwards for April, and despite this, have been ultra-strong and above all expectations in May, giving markets another strong push today! Industrial Production advanced by less than expected - only 1.4%.

But nevertheless: I have to admit, that I am a bit frightened of this second leg of infections, and the indications are increasing, that the virus is changing…potentially really bad news.

Gold was having a nice recovery yesterday, and so far, it´s continuing today…currently at 1731 US$. Base metals are strong - infrastructure spending is something metal investors love to hear! But as I am finishing, it´s giving up to strong equity markets, trading at about 1721 only!

Strike - announced yesterday, that the JV has signed a contract for a drill rig, which will start drilling West Erregulla III in the 3rd Quarter, once civil work has been completed for the drill pad construction. I believe, that this work is already in progress, and that drilling will start in July! West Errgulla IV should be drilled straight therafter, pending approval, and potentially, West Erregulla V as well - subject to JV-approval. This will all be very exciting for us long term Strike shareholders - we could see the cristallisation of a very long wait! If successfull, we should see30-40ct for our Strike shares! The probability for success are much better than 1:1

Panoramic - the rights issue is now finished. 66% of teh retail entitlement were taken up by small shareholders, equalling 357 mill shares. 108 mill shares went to the priority-subunderwriter, Western Areas, taking their shareholding to 19.9%. Only about 74 mill shares are available for subunderwriters - that´s a shortfall of about 13% or just 3.8 mill A$….The market cap of a debt-free Panoramic, with about 35 mill A$ in cash and a nice nickel mine with probably much more than 10 years mine life, is just roughly 150 mill A$…I would not think, that Western Areas want to sit there with 19.9% forever…

The next interesting question now in the corporate restructuring of Panoramic will be: What will happen with the shareholding in Horizon Gold, which could be worth a lot more than the current share price, and the Panton PGM project?

Perth Broker Euroz securities is reported to be in talks to take over Hartley´s, an old and well regarded broker in Perth as well. The consolidation of the sector continues, since Canacccord recently bought out Pattersons. The combined entities are pretty respectable players in the resources space.

Have a nice evening

Good afternoon

The almost relentless run of equity markets came to a sudden stop yesterday, driven by a negative economic outlook by the FED , and fresh increases of corona numbers in some large US states. But the way it looks, the correction might already be over - at least Europe is up quite convingly today, and the US is up by roughly 2% as I am leavinbg.

There is just too much cash which has missed the recent run, waiting for a moment to get invested , to have a large correction in markets! IF interest rates stay very low for the next couple of years - and that´s the way it´s looking - equities are cheap! Sounds crazy, but is true - certainly relative to bonds! If interest rates do not stay low, half the world will go bust….both scenarios should be supportive for gold!

US consumer confidence surged in June

Holdings in gold ETF´s fell quite heavily the last few days - that´s a bit disturbing in the short term. But with gold currently going strong at 1737 US$, this might already be reversed. In A$ terms, gold has had a pretty strong correction - from 2700 on May 15, down to 2400 A$/oz a few days ago. We are now back at 2520 A$/oz.

Iron ore has had an impact on the A$, which has generally been strong recently. As you will know, iron ore is by far Australia´s most important good to be exported, and the appaling performance of Mr. Bolsenaro in Brazil assures, that there is a massive supply risk for Brazilian ore. Cases have been rising very strongly in Chile and Peru as well, potentially disrupting supply of copper . Base metals are also slightly up today.

West African - updated the market in my absence. The mine is going gang busters - at the end of may, the company had net debt of 130 mill US$ only - that´s only 2 month after going in production! Construction of the plant ahs been much several month faster than expected - hence the development of the underground mine could not hold up. As originally planned, underground ore from the first stopes will hit the plant only some time in the September Quarter ( given recent development rates, I assume rather earlier than later in the Quarter ). early grades should be outstanding, given recently announced grade control drliing. Also, deep drilling to increase the mine life of the underground mine will start any day now - this could be a trgger for the next leg in the share price. Also, WAF should be included in the GDXJ Index relaively soon, I believe. The stock is still at least ok to hold! They have had a good run - but show me a reasonable gold miner of resaonable size, which is cheaper! I cannot see one!

Strike Energy - the company has done some more work on interpretation of seismic work, performed around South Erregully. The work has increased confidence in also finding a very substantial gas resource here, potentially even larger than at West Erregulla. The prospect could be drilled in the first half of 2021. I am awaiting any week now a date for drilling West Errgulla 2, which is planned to greatly increase confidence in the West Erregulla gas resource. Strike is back to just above pre-crash prices - but it should prove to be still very cheap here. Next trigger might be offtake agreements with large industrial users, and certainly the drilling of the next appraisal well!!

Liontown - announced some excellent results the other day from metallurgical work. Confidence is increasing, that LTR could produce a higher grade spodumene product than normally avainlable, which would give them a realistic chance to receive a premium price for their product. The stock continues to be the best lithium story in the market, in my opinion.

Sheffield - the company has landed a major coup by signing up Bruce Griffin as Commercial Director. Bruce is regarded as one of the preeminent experts in Mineral sands, and has worked for SFX on a consultancy basis for 2 month already. He has deep knowledge of the project, and him accepting the job, adds substantial credit to the project. His salary is relatively low, but he his highly incentivised to get the project to Final Investment Decision ( which obviously assumes, that a financing ahs been concluded ). The company is also still engaged with potential partners, I understand corporates as well as PE-firms. With 7 mill A$ in cash, SFX can hold it´s own, until a partner has been found, I think. The project should underpin a share price much higher than today´s 13ct!

For me, it´s a major stepping stone to have Bruce Griffin involved, giving the company much higher visibility and increase confidence for potential off-take partners and financiers! Remember the stock was trading at 36ct as recently as in December 2019, before it came clear, that a partner would not be found. The company is now working on new project design, which would reduce initial capex, and is very advanced here. I believe, though, that the final design will be depending on the final development partner, as different off-takers have different need for product specification. But even though the share price is very depressed - this story is far from over!

Bellevue Gold - have now started regional exploration , with immediate success. A drill hole delivered 17m at 4,2g gold/t…great news! The stock has hit a new high the other day, and is clearly on the radar of large funds now. They are not as cheap as tehy used to be, with a market cap of now 650 mill A$ - but there is still upside in the stock. Nothing wrong with taking a few profits here or there, though!

Horizon Gold - Panoramic will be having the AGM on the 29th of June, where shareholders can vote on the second sale of Horizon shares to Zeta, the once largest shareholder of Panoramic. The sale has been done at 20ct/share, subject to getting approval at the AGM of Panoramic. I am strongly oppsed to this transaction, and will vote against it! 20ct is a steel by better-than-us-informed buyers, who should have seen the scoping study. As you know, I am a relatively large holder of Horizon, and I believe, that the stock is worth multiples of 20ct. The company is being starved of cash by Zeta, and I do not want to deliver control of Horizon to a bunch of people, who have not been good for us in the past! If the directors of Horizon ( who have repeatedly bought stock recently above 20ct! ) have an interest to bring the company forward, they will do a capital raising to all shareholders as soon as possible - in fact, they should have done so month and month ago - to enable drilling of the resource for upgrading of the confidence level.

Perseus - will become a member of the ASX 200 shortly. That´s good news - a lot of passive money is following this index, and this will make some kind of a holding in the company mandatory for every index fund!

Tietto - announced more high grade drilling results the other day, incl 12m at 7,5g gold/t, from underground ( 370m ) , below the high grade AG resource. The company to me looks almost certain to increase resources to abover 3 mill oz, from 2,2 mill oz currently, with the next resource estimate in September or so. at 100 A$/oz resource, this equals 300 mill A$ or just a little more than 80ct/share! On the negative side: Ivory Coast has had the first terrorist attack the other day since 2016…not good! But even at a 30% discount, the stock would be capped at 200 mill A$ vs 140 mill A$ today! 3 mill oz would also bring them on the radar screen of the Endeavour´s of this world…anything with production potential of 200.000 oz is of interest top the mid-sized players in Western Africa, like Perseus, West African Resources, Endeavour etc etc..

Have a nice weekend for now! US markets have opened VERY strong, gold is 1743 US$, and base metals are going higher! I would not mind, if markets closed here!

General - Apollo Consolidated - Liontown - West African

Good afternoon

Stocks are finally weaker today on US-China tensions…base metals slightly higher. the US$ is pretty weak - don´t really know why this is the case - 1.1133 against the Euro. This is also helping gold - 1226 US$ currently.

had an interesting chat today to a friend, who has a senior job at a worldwide software company…he currently has 1000 projects going on worldwide - 982 of those clients have stated, that they have no problem at all to continue these projects remotely. He has been running that divison without any problems remotely, from his holiday home in Bavaria, since corona started. ALL of his employees are currently in home office, from 15th of June, 30% will go to work again…One thing is for sure: you would not want to own any commercial property these days!

I had completely missed, that Evolution and Northern Star were included in the MSCI today. Apparently, 25% of Evolution and probably the same in NST are held by passive funds now! I don´t like that. Massive turnover in both stocks….also dragging other gold stocks higher, on good turnover.

Apollo Consolidated - announced results from extensional drilling: 22m at 3,44g gold! The same hole also intersected 8m at 2,84g. This hole is 120m below existing results, and should increase the resource. Apollo continues to drill, but I hope, that they will soon start a more serious program! Company has more than 21 mill A$ in cash, and a royalty, which is worth 15 mill A$ at least - valuing their 1 mill oz result at just approx 40 mill A$. This resource also has substantial upside, is close to Saracen´s Carusoe Dam Mine - but is also approaching a size, which makes stand-alone development highly probable. The project is located 145km east of Kalgoorlie.

Liontown - Chairman Tim Goyder bought additional 2.4 mill shares at 12,5ct!

West African - had their AGM today. Company is producing positive cash already - 7,2 mill A$ in April, despite still producing from open pit only, and 1.3g dirt. Sanbrado will produce higher grade ore from open pit in the 3rd Quarter, and will also produce much higher grade underground ore , starting 3rd Quarter as well. Infill drilling of the soon-to-produce stopes include stunning 13.5m at 133g / 13m at 64g / 17.5m at 26.8g / 7m at 39.5g / 12m at 20 g !!!!!! And extensial underground drilling will start in June again! So news-flow from exploration should be with us from say July on. The underground drilling has a high chance of increasing the very high grade resource at depth, and production results incl underground ore will be exceptional! In April, the plant was running at a yearly rate of 2.8 millt - above design capacity! I continue to believe, that WAF are very cheap - the only negative: It´s a one-mine stock in Burkina! Management are adressing this issue, and they are a declared aquirer of additional projects. I would love them to buy one-ore two additional, close to production assets, to reduce the reliance on Burkina, even as it will be impossible to aquire something of the quality of Sanbrado, which is shaping up to be a 10-year producer of above 200.000 p.a. at below 600 US$ AISC! This company will be capped at 1 bill A$ at some stage in the next 12 month I think, vs 700 mill A$ now.

This report is being finished at lunch time already - will be away for 10 days !

have a nice weekend!

Good afternoon

the major countries still having trouble to contain corona, are: Brazil / US / UK, growing numbers by roughly 20.000/20.000/2.000 respectively. What do they have in common? A reckless or incompetent president!

US economic numbers ( labor, durable goods, personal consumption ) are better than expected.

Needless to say, that equities are up - ok, just a little in the US, but roughly 1% in Europe, where the massive EU-stimulus program, which somebody will have to pay for, is beefing up confidence.

Metals are quite strong as well, especially Dr.Copper. Incredible, how gold shrugged off the few days of weakness, to come back strongly to currently 1722 US$ or just under 2600 A$/oz! But Gold ETF inflows have slowed to roughly 100.000oz/day from roughly 250.000 oz/day over the last few weeks.

Strike Energy - their project has been assigned “Major Project”-Status in Western Australia. That has the advantage of an easier and smoother approval process - basically, the government takes you on the hand, and leads you through the process. Not to be underestimated, and another + for the project.

Oklo - announced another round of excellent drilling results from their Mali-based project. Drilling results from SK1 North were: 33m with 2,95g / 20m at 2,1g and several other holes like that. From SK1 South: 17m with 2,81g / 6m with 7,3g / 4m with 11.5g . From Koko, which is 2km South of SK1, 58m with 1,14g and 9m with 1,1g . The big thing would be now to link SK1 North and SK1 South! Drlling is ongoing - the wet season will start in July. The fisr resource estimate should be due towards the end of the 3rd Quarter. The stock had run a bit hard until recently, and is now consolidating . But in the medium term, I can see this one quite a bit higher again. In the short run, probably still a good trade for more results, before the wet season starts!

Osino Resources - announced drilling results from another 4 holes at their Twin Hills property in Namibia, drilled just before the lockdown: 150m with 0,98g gold ( incl 61m with 1,51g ) / 77m with 0,72g / 10m with 1,23g. These holes continue to show, that they will most probably have a large tonnage, low grade deposit - hopefully with some higehr grades within it as well. It´s still early days - but a large, 1g ore body with gold at 1700 US$, and the very low costs of operating in Nambibia, could/should make for a very profitable venture. But to state this, is a little early at this stage. The company has now drilled 2000m of the 20.000m drilling program. Two drill rigs are drilling currently, the third will start very shortly. So many more results will be coming over time, and hopefully, will keep the market excited. The stock has had a good run recently, especially for a company with no resources as yet. But all indications are, that this will easily be a 1 mill oz orebody and probably more, once the drilling program is finished. I would not buy them today with my ears pinned back - but I recently increased my holding in the low 80ties, and I am hoping for more here!

have a nice evening!

General - Bellevue Gold

Good afternoon

I know it´s getting boring…but everybody is fearful of missing this spectacular run in equities! I can only imagine, that many fundmanagers, as well as wealthy people, are sitting on their larger than normal cash holdings and wait for the famous second leg…and wait and wait and wait…..and obviously, some are jumping in! The laggards are running - banks, cyclicals - while internet-based stocks are seeing some profit-taking.

Europe is proposing more fiscal stimulus. It seems that nobody really cares about these multi-billion numbers - the printing machine is runiing hot, and no doubt, is also feeding equity markets! And eventually, inflation??

Metals are weaker today, by anout 2%, To be honest, I find that surprising , looking at equities and the positive mood there for steel, cars, consumer-related stocks etc…

Gold is fighting to keep it´s head above 1700 US$!

Bellevue Gold - the company announced many excellent results from infill drilling, in preparation for the nrst resource update, which will include the first indicated resources: At the Deacon Lode, 5,3m with 54g gold / 1,5m with 168g / 2,5m with 49g / 3.3m with 22,5 g were the best results….from the Bellevue Lode: 1,5m with 89g / 5.6m with 7,5 g / 2.4m with 14g and 0,3m with 1169 g ….from the Tribune Lode a best result of 2,9m with 36g, and finally from the Viago Lode: 2m with 64g / 1.2m with 38g / 0,4m with 81g. These excellent results augur well for the first indicated resource. I am hoping for 500.000 oz as a first, indicated resource. The dewatering of the old underground mine is making good progress - initial ground conditions are still good. Drilling from undergound will be a lot easier and cheaper, and will accelerate conversion from inferred to indicated resources from late in the 3rd Quarter onwards. Excellent news - I can only repeat myself: I will be surprised, if Bellevue will have to bring this thing into production themselves. Say 300.000t p.a. from underground at more than 10g/t will be very juicy feed for any of the existing plants in the vicinity!

Have a nice evening
